Supporting Schools and Children's Services

Lincolnshire is set to benefit from £11,880,413 of funding to ensure children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and alternative provision (AP) receive an education that meets their needs in high-quality environments for the years to come.

Great to visit Metheringham Primary School last week and speak to pupils about Parliament, the role of an MP and issues that matter to them. It was fantastic to see the children dressed as some of their favourite book characters to celebrate World Book Day - I was very impressed by the imaginativ

I enjoyed visiting North Kesteven Academy recently for a Q&A session with the politics students.

I was pleased to answer their questions and to hear the views of my younger constituents on current affairs.

It has been lovely to visit some our local primary schools over the last couple of weeks to meet the winner and runners up of my Christmas Card Competition for 2023! It was great to speak to students and present them with their certificates and prizes.

It is fantastic news that Kesteven and Sleaford High School has been named as one of the East Midlands' top five state schools in the annual Parent Power guide produced by The Sunday Times!

Thank you for welcoming me into school Leadenham CE Primary Academy! It was lovely to speak with the school council who had some fantastic questions prepared about their interests and a range of local matters. It was a pleasure to meet you all!

Lincolnshire County Council have announced proposals have been put forward for new extensions at St Andrew’s C of E Primary School in Leasingham and South Hykeham Community Primary School.

I am delighted that Lincolnshire is one of the first three local areas selected for the Government's Families First for Children Pathfinder programme.
