Sleaford Train Station

I was pleased to catch up with the team at Network Rail this week to discuss accessibility improvements, such as a bridge with a lift, at Sleaford Train Station.

I have been working with stakeholders to support Sleaford's bid for accessibility funding under the 'Access for All' scheme, and I was pleased when Sleaford station was included in the list of schemes for early development announced by the previous Government in May 2024.

Progress has been made on this and feasibility studies will now be taken at the station. I will be continuing to work with Network Rail and other local stakeholders to deliver improvements to accessibility, such as through a bridge with a lift, at the station.

Many of the views that constituents provided to me in 2022 to help strengthen Sleaford's original bid for this funding remain important, and if you would like to contribute to this work further, please email me at: [email protected] with your postal address.

I have explained to Network Rail that I am keen to see a bridge and lift at the station that is in keeping with its beautiful heritage style.

I will keep residents updated on progress.
