I am pleased that the Government has laid the disposable vape ban legislation before the House, which follows on from that originally put forward by the previous Government.
In February last year, I introduced the Disposable Electronic Cigarettes (Prohibition of Sale) Ten Minute Rule Bill and have been campaigning for a ban on disposable vapes and further restrictions to tackle teen vaping ever since.
I am pleased that there has been work and support across the House to bring this legislation forward. This is the start of creating an overall package to control vaping and protect our children and our natural environment. It has my support.
