EMR Train Timetable Improvements coming this December
I surveyed local villages serviced by train stations earlier this year to ask what improvements you'd like to see in our area ahead of EMR's train timetable changes this December. I then met with EMR to present the findings of my survey, discuss the timetable review and highlight your views with Managing Director Will Rogers.
Following this meeting, EMR have now written to me with confirmation of what the new timetable will look like for constituents in Sleaford and North Hykeham with some significant improvements. These include:
- Introduction of Sunday services at Rauceby
- Transformational additions at Hykeham - 21 extra services on a weekday, 14 extra on a Saturday and 15 extra on a Sunday
- Standardised timetable at Swinderby - a 2-hourly service in the off-peak, increasing to hourly or more regular at peak times
- Peak service from Hykeham to Lincoln increased from 2 to 3 services, with arrivals in Lincoln at 08:02, 08:13 and 08:44
- 1 additional weekday service and 4 additional Saturday services in each direction on the Lincoln to Peterborough line (includes Sleaford, Ruskington and Metheringham)
- Improved connections at Sleaford and Lincoln, and some timing changes based on feedback
- Commitment to explore options for later trains from Lincoln to Sleaford, Ruskington and Metheringham following feedback from my survey
- A study to look at a phased improvement to Sunday services which will include Lincoln to Peterborough
This is a summary of improvements happening in December, with further details in the letter I have received below.
I will be continuing to work together with EMR to bring about further changes that my constituents would like to see in the future. If you are a constituent and have feedback on these changes and other improvements you would like to see, please do contact me at [email protected]
