I was delighted to hold a constituency policy debate challenge with Year 10 and Year 12 students from Sir Robert Pattinson Academy, North Kesteven Academy, Carre's Grammar School, Kesteven & Sleaford High School and St George's Academy!
Each team pitched their policy ideas to the audience and competed to be crowned the winner by the judging panel which comprised of teaching staff and me.
The students did an excellent job pitching and being quizzed on their policies. I was thoroughly impressed by how the students demonstrated their oracy, conviction and problem-solving skills which made it a very close competition to judge.
Thank you to all students who took part, and congratulations to St George’s Academy (Sleaford Campus) and Carre’s Grammar School for winning in the Year 10 and Year 12 age categories respectively. Well done to NK Academy and Sir Robert Pattinson Academy for their strong runner‑up performances in both the Year 10 and Year 12 groups. A big thanks also to Sir Robert Pattinson Academy for hosting us for the competition!
