Last night I hosted our first event for the APPG on Emerging Drugs & Online Behavioural Trends where we focussed on "From Awareness to Action- Addressing the Rising Harms of Ketamine Use".
We heard from a range of esteemed guests including those who bravely shared their lived experience of ketamine use. The panel also comprised academics and experts who shared a great deal of insight. We discussed a range of harms, linking to crime, damage on the body and mental wellbeing, its use with exercise, online regulation, advertising and more.
A huge thank you to our panel, to our secretariat team and to all who attended last night - the room was packed and it was good to see that there was so much interest in tackling this increasingly prolific issue in the UK.
As Chair of the APPG, I will be looking to hold similar events in the future where we look closely into other challenges posed by emerging drug trends. If you would like to attend future events or even speak on a panel, please do visit our website for more information
