I have raised my concerns in Parliament today about the safety of Battery Energy Storage Sites. This follows a recent letter from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) to NKDC which raised serious safety concerns about a local BESS planning application.
I asked the Minister for a debate in Government time to discuss the risks posed by these applications. I will be following this up with Ministers.
