I attended the Second Open Hearing for Springwell Solar Farm today, adding to the comments I made in the first session in May.
As we go through this process, the concerns about this application and the wider ramifications of massive solar in Lincolnshire only become greater. Lincolnshire produces significant amounts of food to feed our nation, yet a cluster of mega solar farm applications have arisen on our farmland. This is having a disproportionate impact on our county and our communities.
There are real concerns about multiple aspects of the Springwell Solar Farm application- which I have put to the Examining Authority in these Open Hearings. I urge them to listen to me and my constituents who oppose these plans and reject this application.
