A recent review has outlined the risks of conflating biological sex and gender when it comes to healthcare, and it is vital that data is presented accurately to ensure the best clinical care, screening and safeguarding of patients.
This week, I urged the Government to look at how healthcare statistics, such as those reported by the UKHSA, are not just collected properly, but are published and presented in a way that is most clinically useful.
