Speaking on the Unprecedented Rise in Obesity Levels

The Government must stop targeting our farmers and rural communities if they want to tackle unprecedented rises in obesity levels.

Lincolnshire farmers grow a massive percentage of our nation's fruit and veg. But hitting them with taxes and covering thousands of acres of farmland in solar will only increase imports and prices for healthy, nutritious food.

I urge the Government to provide a coherent policy to deal with obesity including a strategy for food security and more home-grown food.
