Today, farmers are again gathering in Westminster to urge this Labour Government to axe the Family Farm Tax. I am continuing to join our local farmers in speaking out against the Government's tax on tragedy - highlighting how many farming communities will and could be affected by this policy and cannot plan their businesses.
Today's rally on pancake day will show the importance of supporting UK farmers for UK food production. Three years ago, when Russia invaded Ukraine, we all endured the higher food prices that resulted from Putin's aggression. The Family Farm Tax is putting our domestic food production and food security at risk, which is why we would axe this tax at the first opportunity.
