Voting on the Great British Energy Bill in Westminster

I voted to stop GB Energy from using supply chains involved with modern slavery. Sadly, the Government have voted down this amendment to the GB Energy Bill in their push for net zero. This is despite significant concerns raised about forced labour in the manufacturing of solar panel components in the Xinjiang region in China.

The need to prevent modern slavery is something I have been raising with the Government for some time and I will continue to press the Government on this matter.
