I welcome the announcement that Lincolnshire will become one of 55 new 'Education Investment Areas' to receive targeted investment, support and action to help children from all backgrounds succeed at the very highest levels.

It was great to visit St George's Academy in Ruskington where I attended one of the fantastic sessions delivered by the Jon Egging Trust who focus on broadening the teamwork, leadership and problem-solving skills of pupils at the school.

On Monday, I met with students at Carres Grammar School in Sleaford for a Q&A session.

Last week, I met with Emma and Georgia from the National Citizen Service (NCS) who are running this programme for young people in the Sleaford area.

I had a positive meeting at North Kesteven School with the Headteacher, Joanne Tunnicliffe, and the Chair of Governors, Jonathan Sloan, to discuss the accomplishments of the academy and long term funding goals that will ensure the best possible education for pupils.
