Our rural and farming communities are the backbone of our local economy, and I will continue to highlight the importance of our local farms and Lincolnshire's role as producers of much of the nation's food. Caring for our environment is also incredibly important, whether that is tackling litter, or protecting the beauty of our local landscapes. I always enjoy speaking with farmers and regularly highlight their views on sustainable food production and environmental protections in Parliament.

Farming Recovery Fund Open

The Government has opened the Farming Recovery Fund to support farmers affected by the recent flooding.

Under the scheme, eligible farmers, including those in Lincolnshire, can access grants of between £500 and £25,000 to support them following the severe flooding.

Farming Update

At the NFU conference today, the PM and Environment Secretary have announced a range of measures to boost productivity and resilience in the farming sector, including the largest ever grant offer for farmers in the coming financial year, expected to total £427 million.

Second "Buy British" Campaign Success!

Another success for the campaign for a ‘Buy British’ section on supermarkets’ online stores as Aldi launch ‘Best of British’ section for click and collect shoppers.

Opposing Fosse Green Energy Solar Farm

I recently met with representatives from villages affected by the Fosse Green Energy Solar Farm proposal covering 2,500 acres in the Witham St Hughs/ Thorpe on the Hill/ Bassingham / Norton Disney/ Aubourn area of my constituency.
