Supporting Schools and Children's Services

Next year school funding will be at its highest level in history, nearly £60bn. I am pleased that Sleaford and North Hykeham mainstream schools will attract £93,596,704 in our national funding formula for 2024 -25.

A pleasure to meet pupils from North Kesteven Academy during their visit to Parliament!

This week I visited St George’s Academy in Sleaford to meet with the Headteacher, students and Lincolnshire police officers to understand their perspectives on the increase in teen vaping in the town and the use of disposable vapes in particular.

It was a pleasure to visit Sleaford’s Children Centre to discuss their important work for families and children in the local area.

A pleasure to visit Sir William Robertson Academy where I met Headteacher Mr Guest and the school leaders to hear more about their exciting plans following the school’s successful application to the Government’s School Rebuilding Programme.

I enjoyed visiting Branston  recently for a Q&A session with the Sixth Form students.

I was pleased to answer their questions on a range of topics, including the role of Parliament, policing and the Government's environment targets.

I am delighted by the recent announcement that Sir William Robertson Academy has been selected as one of the latest 239 schools that will be rebuilt or substantially refurbished as part of the fourth round of the Government’s School Rebuilding Programme.

It was a pleasure to meet with the Senior Prefect Teams from Kesteven & Sleaford High School, St George's Academy and Carre's Grammar School for a Q&A session in Sleaford.

It is great news that Lincolnshire has been announced as eligible to receive a slice of the Government's £302 million investment for family hubs.
